I don't feel like blackberries are something I see all too often at the grocery store. I'm not sure why that is. Perhaps just the season.
I recently posted about buying some and really liking them. I thought, while the store has some, I should try out a few recipes with them.
First, I plan to try this Blackberry Smoothie!
Prep time: 10 min
Ingredients
* 1 small banana
* 1/2 cup blackberries
* 1 cup fresh raspberries
* 1 (6 ounce) container vanilla yogurt
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 4 ice cubes
Directions
1. Place banana, blackberries, raspberries, yogurt, honey, and ice cubes into a blender. Blend until smooth.
Sounds simple and delish...and healthy!

I love that blackberries are in season. I just made a blackberry pie last weekend and it was so tasty! It was gone in one night! I got the recipe from: simplyrecipes.com/recipes/blackberry_pie/

Thanks for the recipe - Blackberries must be in season because they were really inexpensive at the grocery store this week. I will try this out.
